Youth Summer Opportunity-Seeds of Peace

Seeds of Peace is a conflict resolution and leadership development program for youth from the Middle East (Palestinians, Israelis, Egyptians, and Jordanians), South Asia (Afghans, Indians, and Pakistanis), and the United States. Seeds of Peace's internationally-recognized program begins at its summer camp in Maine, where for three and a half weeks, young leaders (ages 14-17) from opposing sides of international conflicts have the opportunity to meet their "enemy" face to face. Here, they confront their prejudices and deep-seated fears and tackle the issues that fuel violence, hatred and oppression at home. Our conflict resolution program is designed to open young minds to the possibility of a new reality and continues with innovative post-camp programming to help further develop their leadership skills and capacity to create meaningful change in their communities.

This is a summer opportunity unlike any other available today for American youth. American delegates at Seeds of Peace have an incredible opportunity to learn about international conflicts and cultures first-hand by living with and participating alongside their peers from the Middle East, South Asia and throughout the United States.
