OPEN Houston and The American Pakistan Foundation are pleased to host an iftar and dinner and celebrate the Seven Summits Expedition of Samina Baig and her brother, Mirza Ali Baig.
Samina and Mirza co-founded Pakistan Youth Outreach, an initiative to educate and raise awareness about outdoor activities, to promote research on glaciers and mountains, and to encourage the participation of women in adventure sports in Pakistan. They are currently engaged in climbing the Seven Summits – the tallest mountains on each of Earth’s seven continents – to advance gender equality and women's empowerment.
